"Smart Transport Sustainability in the Daily Life"

the future of smart transport is today's youth

Philippine Association of Extension Program Implementers (PAEPI Global) together with the European Center for Social Responsibility (ECSR.world)  and Constanta Maritime University carried out in April 2021 a unique initiative to raise awareness of the importance of smart transport among young people.
The initiative aimed to develop the creativity, competitive spirit, and curiosity of youth in discovering the benefits of sustainable intelligent transport. The activity was joined by universities and high schools from the Philippines, Romania, Hong Kong, India, Turkey, the Republic of Moldova, and South Africa, as well as companies and associations from the Netherlands (IoT Nederland), Germany (European Japan Experts Association), Turkey (Kocaeli Universitesi Teknopark) and Romania (WISTA Romania – Professional Association of Women in Maritime Transport and Associated Fields, Training Club.eu and TECHNIUM).
During the activity, an international drawing competition was held with the theme “SMART TRANSPORT SUSTAINABILITY IN THE DAILY LIFE”  The purpose of the contest was to raise awareness of the role of STEM education (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) in society. The aim of the competition is to stimulate young people’s knowledge and interest in sustainable applications of smart transport. From the Philippines,  the student  Lester John Salvoza coordinated by Prof. Mark Anthony N. Lataza from the University of Pasig City (College level), PHILIPPINES  obtained the Excellence Award.
The event enjoyed a spectacular international dimension, with jury and participants coming from North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. The commendable jury was made up of personalities from the international transport industry from the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Italy, Korea South, and Hong Kong.
