OVERVIEW

The success of any organization and or association as PAEPI is basically based on the quality of its human resources. Managing the association in the region requires a lot of creativity to be able to perform well amidst challenges and varied constraints. Hence, pursuant to the approved PAEPI National Extension Agenda and PAEPI Strategic Plan (PSP) or Game Plan, there are 7 -point strategies for PAEPI membership expansion in the Region which the PAEPI BODs and any of PAEPI members  are encouraged to pro-actively do: 

  1. Replicate PAEPI Strategic Planning Workshop on the PAEPI global chapter  level ( regional, provincial, municipal , institutional) to empower extensionists 
  2. Conduct meetings regarding best practices in the delivery of extension services.
  3. Come out with a Quarterly PAEPI Regional Newsletter,
  4. Publicize PAEPI Activities in community newspapers and journals of member – schools in the Region, Sharing resources or twin among member schools
  5. Mobilize resources for extension services by tapping sponsors, donors, and other funding agencies “
  6. Strengthen global partnership and external linkages 
  7. Organize chapters ( institutional, municipal, provincial, and regional). Membership is free for students, honorary members, and head or Presidents of the PAEPI Global member institutions  

On the other hand, PAEPI leadership ensures that members would benefit in the process. Some of the actual membership benefits are:

  1. Be assisted through  capability training or other support from PAEPI 
  2. Be provided a venue to present  institutional extension programs /practices/initiatives in the region, at the national and global level, and be recognized in the process 
  3. Be able to publish best practices in peer-reviewed PAEPI Extension Services Journal and soon in a peer-reviewed  International Convention of PAEPI Journal. 
  4. Be recognized on a national and global  level as  Extension faculty/staff and students members 
  5. Be commissioned at Philippine Navy (PN), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) or TAOIC-Interpol with officers rank thru PAEPI endorsement subject to the standards and screening procedure by the PN, PCG, or TAOIC-Interpol, if interested
  6. Be recommended to VSO-Bahaginan  and other global partner organizations as volunteer professionals and exchange experts in an all-expense paid abroad 
  7. Be introduced and connected with PAEPI Global established alliances both national and global to strengthen PAEPI Advocacy and maximize benefits derived from membership to PAEPI.
  8. Be included in the Membership Directory of Experts for complementation of voluntary services etc
  9. Be regularly updated with Information  on PAEPI activities and its partners’ activities for the participation of interested PAEPI members
  10. Be able to take a break from busy lives and work thru PAEPI prepared CHED -endorsed global programs and activities.

If interested to be a PAEPI  individual member, the PAEPI membership form needs to be accomplished and submitted by the extensionist membership applicant. 

If as an institutional PAEPI member,  any PAEPI member can accomplish the statement of commitment and application form for approval of his/her President as there are corresponding responsibilities and benefits that go with the membership. Thru PAEPI, be trained and be recognized as an extensionist responsible for the institutional social responsibilities and extension works in collaboration with both local and global partners.
