The Philippine Association of Extension Program Implementers, Inc (PAEPI) is a private, non-stock, non-profit, professional organization, dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of the role of extensionist as key players in people empowerment for sustainable development, and to bring the extension to the level of discipline and a profession.  

PAEPI is such a wonderful organization!  Having been a PAEPI member in 2001, then elected PAEPI BOD/officer from 2002-2008, then becoming PAEPI Executive Vice- President in 2006 and eventually PAEPI President in 2008 during the “1st PAEPI Biennial Convention and General Membership Assembly “  hosted by Capitol University in Cagayan De Oro, had made me appreciate more, the value of extensionists and the organization PAEPI.

 

Entrusted with leadership positions in PAEPI provided me the vision on how PAEPI can further be enhanced as a reputable and sustainable organization

All PAEPI activities were officially endorsed by CHED and supported by local and global partners.

My six-year term as President (CY 2009-2014) of the innovative PAEPI Global, had focused on 1) Organization Capability and Transparency for Good Governance 2) Membership Expansion in both local and global community 3) Solidification of  Linkages and Development Partnerships among stakeholders both in the National and Global Communities 4) Enhancement of research-based extension service programs based on five research impact factors of former CHED Oversight Research  Commissioner Dr. Roberto Padua. 5.) Recognition of the PAEPI organizations and their members and partners 6.) Accreditation of PAEPI  by both local and global institutions and 7) Joint conduct of activities with global partners with sponsorship to deserving PAEPI member institutions 8) Establishment of PAEPI website, formerly hosted by MAAP www.maap.edu.ph, the use of free website https://paepi.webs.com/   and finally a  permanent PAEPI domain https://paepi-global.org/ with several global partners and regional directors voluntarily supporting the objectives of  PAEPI for sustainable development.9) PAEPI Extension Services Journal Publications (socio-economic; socio-welfare;  health/medical, ecological and environmental; and technological and infrastructure). In the pipeline is the preparation of the Scopus indexed International Convention of PAEPI Journal with Scopus authors (PAEPI members and partners) as reviewers https://publons.com/journal/647225/international-convention-of-philippine-association/ 10.) 1st PAEPI Biennial Publications with ISSN registration. 11.) Introduction of  PAEPI Global Partners (e.g., AUSN, AMEA, BHS, CERS, Global MET, G-Link, NI, MASCOT/IMACS,   IMAREST, RI, STIE Perbanas- now named UHW, TREEDC, and more) and how the partnerships would mutually benefit both the members and partners. 12.) Elevation of PAEPI into PAEPI Global

The PAEPI Global, with all the vibrant ideas, needs to be animated through the assistance, guidance, and support of people and friends with leadership positions and good hearts to make things happen. The PAEPI Global strategic development action plans and projects shall honorably make a difference in the lives of extension workers and their members in collaboration with global partners.
